Spain

This time next week we will be in Spain.
Not knowing much about Spain, I have resisted the urge to research madly, rather pull together fine filaments to form a free fabric and allow the country to weave its own pattern on my life.

Nanna Esme gave me Spanish perfume - a dancing lady on the front - red and black strong colour themes. A lady in the family does flamenco dancing beautifully.
There was much colonisation and spread of religion and disease - some would think they are the same.
Cortez and the funny hat. Oh no! Not the Spanish Inquisition, comfy chair, soft cushion.

Guernica and Pan's Labyrinth.

Spain has a king.
Spain is part of the EU and uses euros.
Spain is where friends are missionaries.

Spain names things - like oranges and towns.
Spain is old and has lovely architecture - I love this. I will be captivated by the old stuff built and still there.

Trip advisor says there are 8736 things to do in Spain. It also says to take your time travelling and savouring the country.
Ummm..... we will be doing the whole country in two weeks - top to bottom, side to side with Portugal thrown in as well.
Alhambra, Seville, Granada, adventure, here we come.
